Oh. My. Gosh. Don’t you think sisters like these make my job Oh. So. Easy??

And one last one — my favorite little outtake from the evening –

This little guy was on track to be the sleepiest, quietest, most laid back newborn I’ve ever taken photos of.

And then - he woke up.

And I’d bet he’s still awake.

And he might go back to sleep next Thursday.

For his parents’ sake, I hope he did decide to sleep again, because they also have big brother running around the house.

Aren’t they adorable??
March 30, 2012 - 11:08 am - OH MY WORD!! I love them! Priceless for sure! :) Thank you so much!
Over the last several years, I’ve had plenty of memorable photo shoots. I had one child fall in a pond as we were leaving a location, I had one child relieve himself in a fountain in downtown Bryan, I’ve shot in both a NICU and a PICU, and I’ve shoot on location at both 38 degrees and 108 degrees. I may have to add this shoot to the list of memorable shoots.
To begin with, this adorable little dude . . .

. . . just apparently doesn’t like me. Or maybe he doesn’t like having his picture taken. But whatever the case, he doesn’t like to lay on his belly, bend his legs, or be anywhere that’s not in someone’s arms!

(I think he thinks that with good looks like these, he’ll be able to get away with murder!)

But we kept plugging away . . . and plugging away . . . and he and Mom and Dad were REAL troopers.

(I mean, SERIOUSLY. Who is supposed to look this good 6 days after having a baby????)

So, as I packed up to leave, and backed my husband’s car down their L-O-N-G driveway, I managed to drop a back wheel off into the culvert right at the road and high center the car on the edge of the driveway! In the rain. For the next 3 hours. And even the first wrecker we called said he couldn’t get me out - I did THAT good a job of making a mess! But, with the help of my uncle, husband, this little guy’s dad, and their neighbor, the car is now back in MY driveway, safe and sound. This one’s for you, dad - thanks for helping with my car situation, and Gig ‘em!

The last time I saw this little guy

He looked a lot more like THIS little guy

Meet little brother.

What a doll.

Little Miss “A” got here a little ahead of schedule - while we were in Florida at Disney World, to be exact. But despite our trip and the holidays, we manage to squeeze in a newborn session with her, and once she got to sleep, she was as good as gold!

This is five year old M1.

AKA - Mr. Cheese. Always ready to mug for the camera.

This is his brother - M2.

M1 - Mr. Cool.

(Such is a day in the life for someone who shoots photos of children.)
But - despite all that - there were a lot that actually didn’t look like outtakes!

November 18, 2011 - 6:03 pm - Wow, scrolling down I thought that this shoot must have been a washout. But you managed to get some really cute ones. Good job.
November 18, 2011 - 7:08 pm - I love every one of these. Really cute kids and growing up so fast. You did great Kris.
I’m not so sure Mom had these green boots in mind for the photos, but hey - sometimes you do whatcha gotta do, right? The joys of shooting photos of kids!

What do you get when you shoot photos of a two year old and a three year old at the same time? A little bit (or a lot) of chaos! And some good photos mixed in!

I have a bunch that are similar to this last one, and I couldn’t decide which I liked best. I finally settled on this one, because I loved little Miss “S” trying to get a little kiss out of the deal, too!

Last year we had to shoot photos for this family in the PICU at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. This year we got to do it at HOME. What a change! Little sister managed to stay out of the hospital for us this year - a trend I surely hope continues.

I am honored to take photos for this family.
November 13, 2011 - 8:03 pm - Beautiful pictures of a beautiful family! Our love goes out to them! -Mark and Michelle
